Just been thinking. I have my chars set to never show the helms etc. Does this mean I don't get the benefit of the item or, is it purely a cosmetic thing? Ta very much.

I don't blame you. Some helms are absolutely hideous...

But others... others are alright.

Some day I'm planning on taking my Assassin out without his mask showing. I've never once seen another Assassin do that, strangely enough.

I pretty much never show hats, except for my warrior with the kurzick "batman" armor and holiday masks, including my assassin.

Easy test: look at your attributes, do they reflect the bonus from the hat?

Ah good idea, never thought of that. Thanks for the answers though. Glad they don't effect anything though coz some of them are shite.

ya its still there and you get the affects of what it does, but you will never see it. like an invisible hat, its still there.

I prefer mine off, of course it doesn't take away the benefists. In my opinion they look better off
